About Gerry High
I moved to Venice Beach,Ca. in the 60's with my family. I started painting when I was a teenager. I had very helpful art teachers in public schools. I took art lessons from Harvey Hetland in Pasadena when I was 15. I participated in a junior artist exhibit at the Pasadena Museam before it became Norton Simon Museaum and saw an Andy Warhol and Ellsworth Kelly exhibit and fell in love with art. Iv'e been hooked ever since I just kept creating whenever I could. When I sold my first painting I realized this was it. I have traveled painting murals with Marshall Arts Studio. I currently continue with my art studio in Palm Desert, California and my wife Celeste and I have an Art gallery in Idyllwild,Ca called Artspresso Gallery that we have run...
