Post Corona Art Show

Working away at this time on new work that will be shown sometime in the future. Needed a little more time to work on the art and now I have it. Hopefully all my Artists friends can find what they need to work through this strange episode of life.

All's Well That Ends Well

All

Having a grand time back at the drawing table. I find myself with new projects to explore.
I am beginning a comic book which will be a format to voice my ideas and philosophies so that I can always find a way to explore new worlds and ideas. I prefer the underground comic style. As I progress I will keep this blog sight as a way to chart my progress. I have learned from those more astute in the
social media ways to keep consistent. This is why I am saying this out loud to force myself. Anyway thanks to those who will read this.
If you are in Idyllwild, Ca anytime drop by our Artspresso Gallery at 54380 N.Circle Dr. in beautiful Idyllwild.

Creation of Mural for El Buen Cacao the Idyllwild designation for Chocolate

I was commissioned to paint a mural for the outdoor patio of Idyllwild's newest Chocolate business, El Buen Cacao. I painted the harvesting and preparation of the Sacred Cacao Pod. I painted on prepared masonite panels to withstand the elements as best I could. The owners of the business Jessica and Erik Landis
thought this mural would be very important in establishing a welcoming atmosphere to the business. The four panels were coated with Ultra Grip a Dunn-Edwards primer for interior/exterior the painting with Nova Colors acrylic paint mixed with water based spar varnish. After completion this was then coated with same varnish. The masonite was then applied to wall with construction adhesive then a frame of pine 1" 2"x8' and 1"x3"x8' furring strips were attached to frame work. The frame was caulked and painted with bluish-green paint to be sealed with another coat of varnish. Check out more work at www.ghighart.com
